Reconciliation With God

The Bible says that before conversion, we were enemies of God. We hated Him. Many are skeptical of this. They don't think they have ever hated God. The problem is that they have invented a false god which they love. The second problem is that they do not understand what enmity against God looks like. It looks like friendship with the world (which is enmity against God), and disobedience to God's commandments (If you love Me, you will obey Me.") Salvation is a glorious work of reconciliation wherein God changes our hearts to love Him whom we formerly hated.
