Being An Apostle

19

"Today is Sunday January 17, 2016; we live a day of much relativity. The Scriptures that declare that every man is right in his own eyes has never been more applicable than it is today. It seems even more prevalent throughout Christianity. Pick from among many denominations and congregations from all corners of the earth... They all teach what the Bible means to them; their opinions. For our second-hour service Pastor Simpson taught with explicit clarity regarding God's choosing of the twelve apostles. Just south of our meeting place, about 2 hours, is home to the central leadership of the Church of God denomination where modern-day apostolic abilities are not just accepted, they are encouraged for all ""believers"" to partake in. However, the Bible provides clear qualifications in order to be an apostle. It seems that man today is not as much interested in being an apostle as they are about displaying the apostolic capabilities of the original apostles. If you believe you or someone around you is an apostle, judge from what the Scriptures have to say before joining yourself to such that preach and advocate such a message. Perhaps a patient listening to today's message would help you? May God bless the preaching of His Word.

Make sure to tune in over the next several weeks as Pastor Simpson plans to speak to Jesus as the One God. To hear more sermons like this one from our wisdom series find Providence Church on SermonAudio.com. Come visit us next Lord's Day!"
