The Greatest of These is Love

In this address we consider again what love is, how it runs against self-interest, is productive in its effects, and should result in action.

We learn something of the negative results produced in a society that has become largely self-absorbed, and that does not have a biblical overview of these things.

Love, we are told, can encourage people to trust. It destroys fear, and leads to people being loving in return.

The greatest example of love, is if course the Lord Jesus Christ. He it was who modelled love to perfection, giving His life a ransom for many. Well does the Bible tell us - "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13)
