Daniel's Vision of the Four Beasts

Old Testament prophecy focuses on the nation of Israel and the establishment of the kingdom of God on the earth. Daniel's vision from God gave revelation of more details from those given through Nebuchadnezzar's dream in chapter two. In portraying the nations as beasts God is giving His perspective on the world empires that will be ruling in anticipation of Jesus Christ's first and second coming. Revelation concerning the intervening church age is not revealed in Old Testament prophecy where attention is on the nation of Israel and God's plan for them.
