The Rapture Preceding the Seventieth Week

The biblical explanation of the rapture of the church indicates that it will occur before the beginning of the tribulation period identified as the seventieth week of Daniel. The church, not being a part of or involved in the culmination of God's plan of bringing national salvation to Israel, will have been removed along with the restraining influence and indwelling ministry of the Holy Spirit of God. The Bible also gives further distinctions and differences between the rapture of the Church to meet Christ in the air and His second coming to the earth to establish His kingdom as the first phase of the eternal kingdom.
