Respond to Messianic Prophecy

Seeing Messianic prophecies being fulfilled in Christ should not be only a head knowledge thing but should stir us in a response in our deepest affections. How do I know if I'm just hearing and reading God's Word just for head knowledge? What emotional response should I get when I read Messianic prophecies being fulfilled in Christ? Luke 2:27-38 will answer this question.

Purpose: Seeing Messianic prophecies being fulfilled in Christ should bring up three internal responses within us so that it shows we truly understand and worship Christ.

1. Do you marvel at fulfilled Messianic prophecies about Christ (v.27-33)?
2. Do you get pierced by the prophecies that some will reject Christ (v.34-35)?
3. Do you long to see the Messianic prophecy of the redemption of Israel (v.36-38)?
