Samson

70

Hebrews challenges the traditional understanding of Samson by listing him by name in the Hall of Faith. The account of his life in Judges is unique in many ways: it is from birth to death; it receives more space than any other judge; he did more exploits than any other judge; he stood alone for his entire judgeship; and he achieved the least amount of deliverance for the nation by the time he died. The sermon shows that there are a number of important messages communicated through the life of Samson, both negatively and positively.
