How Jesus Was Perfected by Suffering

Was it necessary for Jesus to be circumcised?
Was it necessary for Jesus to be redeemed by shekel?

These traditions were followed by Joseph and Mary, but was it necessary? The answer is yes, but not for the same reason that every other Jewish male needed these things - it was necessary for Jesus in order to 'fulfil all righteousness' and in order that he might be, in the words of Hebrews, 'perfected through suffering'.
