Mercy for the Wicked

What do you think of when you think of the story of Jonah? The opening verses teach that the message of the book is God's mercy to a wicked people. There are three main points of the sermon: 1) God takes notice of the wickedness that is done in the earth; 2) The great wickedness of Neneveh; and 3) The great deep of God's mercy both in general and in his particular mercy. The sermon ends with three practical uses of the doctrine of God's mercy as illustrated in the text.
