Marvel at Jesus Christ

God spoke through His servant Simeon, telling of the glorious truth that the young child he held in his arms was to be a 'Light to the Gentiles, and the Glory of Israel.' God is also able to use us to declare the purpose of Christ's coming - expect Him to use you!

Many will laugh when we speak of these things, but a ruined life is the result of sin. God however, prepared the plan for our salvation in eternity past. Our great salvation is Heaven sent, it is God's plan, His purpose, His design.

Simeon understood what God was doing, and knew that all that had happened to Israel in their history before His birth was preparing the Jews for the day of Christ's coming. Everything pointed forward to a new day - preparation for what Jesus christ would accomplish for His people.

Simeon saw the Lord's Christ with his own eyes, we too can see Him by faith. You can also share in this wonder, rather than being a stranger to it.

Christ came for all who would, by faith trust in Him, Jew or Gentile; men and women of all nations, tribes and tongues. Joseph, Mary, Simeon and Anna all saw Christ and marvelled; may God yet cause many more to see Him by faith and likewise marvel.
