The Angel Interprets the Mysteries GR 873

All the empires that have come and gone have been satanically controlled and motivated. They have been attempts by Satan to oppose the plan of God. The scriptures have laid down clearly what empire would follow another empire and what the climax of all earthly empires will be. Two things ought to come out of that for believers. Number one, an awe of our God and His sovereign control over all. And number two, it ought to put an end to the foolishness that sometimes infects the church that there are godly earthly empires. Or particularly that the United States is an exception.
