Mortifying the Flesh

This text must be understood in the broader context of Paul's theme in Romans - the gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes (1:16). One way in which that power can be contemplated is from the perspective of the power of a transformed life. Part of that transformation includes mortifying the flesh. In this study we consider what this means - how it's done - and why it's important.
