Redemption of the Body

Redemption of the bodies of His ransomed people is the consummate dimension of Christ liberating work. His people's bodies are redeemed from their slavery to corruption and this shall be gloriously manifest at the second advent. Upon 'the day of redemption,' Christ's full purchase shall be revealed in the transformation of the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory. This is the sense of redemption likely intended in I Corinthians 1:30. Redemption of the body is applied by considering the use of this truth in I Corinthians 6:12-20.
