Not Made to Stumble

Jesus continues to comfort His disciples by warning of their vulnerability to rejection from the world, and to explain the power of the coming Holy Spirit. He comforts, but not with pious platitudes but with reality. He speaks the truth in love, giving them a sense of the hard things that are coming, so that these hard things won't make them stumble. He encourages them to anticipate the power of the Holy Spirit to do the Work He has called them to do. This section continues Jesus explanation of the person and work of the Holy Spirit.
