Kept in the Love of God

Thesis: Life is filled with many trials, griefs, despairs and disappointments . . . . yet, most still have hope for things to get better; holding out hope that next year will be better! The only lasting and sufficient hope is the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jude very practical being anchored in doctrine and pastoral encouragement in gospel living, therefore lifting up believers to exercise Gospel grace :

I. PERSEVERE IN GRACE (v. 20)

• "build" and "pray" are commands, but not towards
  works but towards developing patterns/habits of
  grace in life.
• Stay in love of God
• Mercy finds those who stay in Christian faith

II. ACT IN GRACE (v.22-23)

• Share grace you received
• Share mercy you received

III. HOPE IN GOD OF GRACE (v.24-25)

• We cannot be blameless - God can fix
• God will fill us with joy
