Freed From Slavery

Have you ever stopped to consider that the LORD'S DAY was intended to be a blessing from God to his people, a day of rest and worship, a day when they were freed from their labors? That day of blessing was taken away from them when they went into slavery in Egypt, but it was restored when they were brought out again. Oddly enough they consistently tried to return to the slave life of 7 days of labor and frequently were guilty of violating the Sabbath.

Today modern Christians are working hard to eliminate the Christian Sabbath, the Lord's day, from society and by doing this they too are returning to a life of bondage where everything is work,work,work or play,play,play but never rest and worship.
