The Mother of the Messiah

After the angel Gabriel appeared and announced to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive a son by the power of the Holy Spirit, she broke out in a psalm of praise in Luke 1:38, and v. 46-56. In these passages we learn about this mother of the Messiah. We see her obedience to God, her thorough knowledge of the Word of God, her humility before God, her joyful praise of God, and her confession that she was a sinner in need of a Savior.
