The Family of God

God's purpose from the fall of man in Genesis was to restore the kingdom of God under the rule of His human image-bearer. Psalm 8 declares that work accomplished under one who was, for a little while, lower than the angels. This reference could refer only to Jesus Christ in His incarnation. Hebrews 2 develops this text and demonstrates that through Jesus, God is creating a new race made holy and suitable for His restored kingdom on earth.
