Greater Things Than These

Many of Jesus' first disciples
had spent a lifetime with one eye
in the Scriptures and another
looking for the coming of their
Messiah. Then John the Baptist
pointed Andrew and John to
Jesus, and before long others
came along as well.
Nathanael, a student of God's word, had a
limited understanding of this One to come. But
when he met the Son of God, Jesus gave him an
entirely new view of their King: "You will see
heaven opened and the angels of God ascending
and descending on the Son of Man."
