God Manifest In The Flesh

That God should become a human being is staggering to the human mind. That the creator and sustainer of all things chose to become a human creature is mind blowing. This is the claim of the gospel – the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we have seen His glory… God entered the stream of humanity in the birth of Christ. He joined the human race.
How do we grasp that in Christ 'all the fullness of the deity lives in bodily form…'? Not by human reasoning or logic but by the revelation of the Spirit. Apart from such understanding the incarnation would make no sense – it would be foolishness! It is high human pride that seeks to reduce the great mystery of the incarnation to something we can explain rather than simply to declare the great worth of this great Lamb of God that every knee to Him should bow!
