11-The Pastor: The Missing Man

Down the centuries, starting with the Fathers, men have distorted the system of church care, rule and order as instituted by Christ. One way in which they have done this is by distinguishing one of the elders and giving him a special name or title. What is this name or title? Today – and for many years past – that name or title is ‘the pastor’. But the turning of one of the elders into ‘the pastor’ is quite wrong.
