He Was Named Jesus

Although you may not find the name “Jesus” on a “Top 10 List of Boy’s Names” in any given year, by God’s grace through faith we can find ourselves being incredibly comforted by the fact that there was, is and forever will be only one Name which the angel had commanded Mary to give to her baby before He had even been conceived! And consequently, as our text in Luke 2:21 very clearly confirms, He Was Named Jesus!
