A Prayer of Intercession

A knowledge of God's will and person is to guide us in our prayer life. In Genesis 12, God calls Abram to leave his home country. Abram obeys and in faith embarks upon a journey that will lead to a cradle in Bethlehem. In Genesis 17, God reaffirms His covenant with Abram and promises the birth of a son. Also, God changes Abram and Sari's names. In Genesis 18, the Lord again appears to Abram stating Sarah will conceive & bear a son. In that conversation God reveals to Abraham His intention to destroy Sodom & Gomorrah. This disclosure is followed by a prayer of intercession, a prayer based upon the will of God and the person of God.
