Rejoicing Over Christ's Birth

Isaiah 9:1-7 is calling Israel to rejoice in the middle of a dark hour in its history. There are three reasons given for rejoicing. The third reason is found in 9:6 and has to do with the coming of Jesus Christ: Rejoice! "a child will be born and a son will be given."
