A Time for Remembering

The near approach of a new year is likely for many people a time for remembrance, since the future is hidden. On the threshold of the promised land, with all its threatening circumstances, the people of God are called to remember; 1) God's deliverances in the past; 2) The lessons God had taught them by trying providences; and 3) What God had saved them from. These are good things for us to remember as we are about to pass into a new year.
