Examination and Discovery

Each year millions of people make what is commonly called “New Year's resolutions.” Yet, for the saint, the blessing of a New Year is a time for humble thanksgiving and reflection on the year past and the year to come. A re-examination of our hearts, motives and actions make way for a clear and targeted approach to the work of the Kingdom in the year ahead.

To be sure, many so-called Christians are but “almost Christians” which is actually no Christian at all. These deceived, pitiful souls are hell bound, being hell worthy, having not the Spirit of regeneration and Adoption. Lacking the will and Grace of self discovery and self examination these sit smugly and idly in churches throughout the world never once asking, “Is it I?”

As we embark on a new year we must be mindful of Biblical Examination, lest we too fall prey to being “almost a Christian.”
