Biblical Patience (2)

Our text tells us that trials gives joy as well as patience. Thomas Manton said, “A Christian is a bird that can sing in winter as well as in spring; he can live in the fire like Moses's bush; burn, and not be consumed; nay, leap in the fire.” We glorify the Lord when no one sees us as much as if we were on display before the whole world. It is the Lord we are serving and not man; therefore, whatsoever we do we are to do it as unto the Lord alone. The message concludes with several scriptural admonitions on waiting patiently.
