Glory to God in the Highest!

In Luke 2:8-14 we are shown 2 proclamations
concerning the birth of Christ.
I. Proclamation #1: A Savior is born!
A. The recipients (v. 8).
B. The proclaimer (v. 9).
C. The proclamation.

1. The command: Fear not! (v. 10a).
2. The reason: I have good news!
   (v. 10b).
   a. Your Savior is born (v.

11a).

b. He is Christ the Lord (v.

11b).

3. The sign: A baby (v. 12a).
   a. Wrapped in clothes (v.

12b).

b. Lying in a manger (v. 12c).

II. Proclamation #2: Glory be to God!
A. The proclaimers (v. 13).
B. The proclamation:

1. Glory to God (v. 14a).
2. Peace to His people (v. 14b).
