The Inauguration of Christ's Public Ministry, Part 1

The baptism of Christ marked the inauguration of His public ministry with the blessing of God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. He was baptized ultimately to: 1. fulfill all righteousness, 2. authenticate John's ministry, 3. manifest Him as the Son of God and Savior of His people, 4. to identify with His people and thereby pre-figure His atoning death on the cross on behalf of their behalf.
