The King Who Has Come
Series Anticipating God's Coming King
14
Beginning with the angel Gabriel's announcement to Mary in Luke 1:30-38, the pronouncements concerning Jesus' birth in Luke 1-2 declare that the King of God's eternal Kingdom has arrived. In the birth of Jesus, God's long-anticipated King from David's line has come to save and forever rule over a people for God from all nations. And He calls us to be among them. Jesus is:
The King who will rule God's people
forever (Lk. 1:30-38)The King who will save God's people
for worship (Lk. 1:68-75)
3.The King who brings God's peace to
earth (Lk. 2:11-14)
4.The King who is God's salvation for
all peoples (Lk. 2:29-32)
