An Expected Surprise

An expected surpass sounds like an oxymoron, but it is an apt description of the Messiah's birth. While Israel had long anticipated the coming of the Messiah, no one would have imagined that He would be born to a poor, insignificant family that resided in one of the most despised villages in Galilee. Even Mary was astonished at being chosen for this highest honor.
