Take Up, and Read

The class is to encourage us to read the whole of Scripture, not just our favorite portions, so that we might grow in the knowledge of God's great story expressed in the various genre of biblical literature.

I. WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO READ THE WHOLE BIBLE?
1.) God has given us a whole Bible - 1 Corinthians 10:11; Romans 15:4
2.) The whole Bible has to do with Christ - Luke 24:27, 44

II. WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW IN READING THE WHOLE BIBLE?
1.) The whole Bible is God-breathed - 2 Timothy 3:16
2.) The Bible contains a unified and true story
3.) The Bible presents this story in a mixture of literary genres
