Lord, How Shall I know? And a quick intro to dispelling Progressive Creationism

The question always here at Cliffside is, “What are we going to do next?” Our pastor describes the common teaching that is becoming more and more prevalent today, that God used death to create. Yes, he's going to take on Progressive Creationism. He'll do it in segments along side this Genesis 1-19 series, but, we're not doing that today. This is just a quick intro.

Last Sunday we were discussing the Wedding imagery that accompanies the Ram of Genesis 15 and Genesis 22. Why did God place His plan of salvation inside His ordinance of Marriage? Why is it that the first institution God put into place is marriage? Inside the Hebrew Betrothal system is His plan of Salvation. In there is, when He leaves, and when He's coming back. And what about that verse that says, Only the Father knows when Jesus is coming back. You think that means that Jesus doesn't know? Our pastor is happy to dispel that notion.

Pastor's hope today is that he gets into you how important Genesis 15 is. It answers some crucial dilemmas you'll come across as you study the Bible. But the main question it answers is... How can I know that I'm saved? I know... It doesn't look like it on the surface, but study along with us and you may find some amazing things that will ground your faith. This pastor will teach you how you can know, while most other churches out there just want you to walk away with a good feeling. Nothing wrong with a good feeling, but here's my question for you. Do you want to feel? Or do you want to know?
