CHAP. II. CONCERNING THE ENDLESS PUNISHMENT OF THOSE WILL DIE IMPENITENT.

In this chapter, Edwards continues his remarks on the false doctrine of annihilationism with special emphasis on the absurd Roman Catholic doctrine of Purgatory. Edwards eloquently and in great duration, reminds us of the duration of eternal damnation; that it is eternal in duration.

Some of the expressions given in this chapter, of the wrath of God being executed against the impenitent sinner, are graphic in illustration and may frighten small children.
