Three Responses to the New Born King

As we consider this narrative, surrounding the wisemen, who seek to visit the young Messianic King Jesus, we will do so, by dividing it into two parts, the second of which, we will consider next time, Lord willing. For this morning, we will work through the general narrative itself, concluding with an examination of the three main responses here revealed, to the advent of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then, next time, Lord willing, we will seek to examine verses 5-6, another Old Testament prophecy (this time, from Micah 5), which Matthew reveals as a Messianic text, which the Lord Jesus has fulfilled at His birth.
