Believe On THE NAME! What does it mean to believe on The Name of Jesus Christ?

Again, the question is... Where are we now? And, How did we get here? So, our pastor backs up the bus to pick up the stragglers, while attempting not to run over anybody. Also... if you're new to Cliffside you may pick out a lecture because of the title, but please understand, each lecture builds on the ones that have come before it. So, at any time you find yourself a little lost, sometimes it's because our pastor will ask more questions than he answers, but most of the time you can just go back and listen to around ten of his previous lectures and you'll find yourself understanding a lot more of what he's discussing. In other words, Welcome to the advanced class.

The first part of this lecture is finding out how we got from Romans 3 to 2 Samuel 11 and 12. We get there because of Romans 3:9-12, There is none righteous. No, not one. There, Paul quotes King David, from the Psalms of David, and also Isaiah and Solomon. We're here because of David's great sin of 2 Samuel 11. The Romans theme is, the saved shall live eternally by belief. That's what Romans 1:17 is saying. We're also focusing on 1 John 3:13. You must believe on the name of Jesus Christ. What is it to believe on "the name" of Jesus Christ? And we go to John 8:24. You must believe that Jesus Christ is The I AM.
