We Have Seen His Glory

119 ( 102 | 17 )

The Scriptures are filled with occasions where people are brought to their knees, often falling on their faces, before the glorious presence of God. As Moses was told on Mt Sinai when he asks to see the Lord's glory, "No-one can see God and live." Yet, John can say, "We have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father."

The birth of Jesus commences a whole new era and an unsurpassable revelation of the glory of God in the New Covenant. In the Word become flesh, not only can we behold his glory, full of grace and truth, but from his fullness we receive grace upon grace. May the Father grant us more than just a glimpse of his glory and grace this Christmas.
