The Greatness of the One Who Came

The prologue to this Gospel overviews Jesus Christ as God and as Man who came to the earth, being the fullest revelation of God. God as He is has been revealed by God Himself. The glory of God was seen in His person, even while veiled with the incarnation, as well as in His works. In the beginning at the time of earth’s creation Jesus Christ already existed from all eternity past as the Son of God. He took on humanity, in the fullness of God’s time, having a beginning as does every human being. Christ as light as brought the knowledge of God into the spiritual darkness of the fallen world to reveal sin and provide the deliverance no man, woman, or child can do for themselves. The Savior of all who will receive Him and the coming Judge of all who reject Him, choosing to die in their sin.
