I. The Actual Birth of Jesus Christ (vs. 1-7):

1.  The Time – 4-5 B.C. (v. 1-2; Daniel 2:40-45; Genesis 49:10; Luke 1:5) 
   

2. The Place – Bethlehem of Judea (v. 3-5; Micah 5:2)

3. The Manner – Humble and Lowly (vs. 6-7; Isaiah 53:2)

II. The Announcement & Glorification of God in Christ’s Birth - (v. 8-14)

1.  The Announcement by the Angel to the Shepherd – “Good Tidings of Great Joy” (vs. 8-12;  2 Corinthians 2:15-16) 
   

2.  The Heavenly Host Glorify God in the Birth of Jesus Christ (vs. 13-14; Revelation 13:8; Romans 5:8) – God’s Rich Grace, or Good Will, Toward Men Brings Peace on Earth (Ephesians 2:14-18)

2.  The Shepherds “Made Widely Known” what told to Them – What they Saw for Themselves (vs. 17-19)

o Joseph & Mary Held Close to their Heart What was Told to Them (v. 19)
3. The Shepherd Glorified Praised God (v. 20)
