God has done something
God has done something astounding: loved us
God has done something decisive in eternity past: chose us
God has done something gracious: saved us
God has done something in our personal history: called us
God will yet do something amazing: glory
God ordains every step along the way:
a. work of the Spirit
b. gift of faith in the truth
c. power of the gospel
B. A BRIEF EXHORTATION
So then…
Stand firm
How? Hold fast!
C. AN ENCOURAGING BENEDICTION
Love and grace
Eternal encouragement and good hope
Encouragement and strength
Heart and behavior
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through.
May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless
at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.
