Sightseeing or Witnessing?

The difference between a bystander/sightseers and a disciple/storytellers

(Illustrate rubberneckers)

Bystanders are witnesses of the witnesses. They talk more about the witnesses than they do the word.

Sightseers/Bystanders/rubberneckers go about their business taking in the sights of life.

Storytellers/Disciple business is the word.

The Witnesses

Witnesses of the Word
Ministers of the Word
Deliverers of the Word

Witnesses of the word.
(They are persuaded of its presence and power and testify to how it has transformed their lives.)

Ministers of the word.
(They practically serving by it and for it as they serve God's people. They believe man does not live on bread alone but every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.)

Deliverers of the word.
(They Proclaim and Preach it to the hostile world as Jesus instructed)

Luke 1

In a nutshell, we preach and teach Jesus verbally, visually and victoriously. We testify to the truth of God's word, then cast our testimony along side His truth and share how Jesus and His living word transformed our lives. We can't give away what don't know, or what we don't have... so we share our story and how He saved us for Himself. This means our communication of the gospel should be validated by our commitment to, character before and conduct for the gospel that delivered us to a lifetime of unashamed love and service to Jesus. No different how the resurrection of Jesus validated everything He said and did…
