The Gospel of John 3:16

“As I thought this week again about the Gospel, I marvel to think that the basic Christian message of salvation from sin by faith in Jesus Christ is so profound that wise men will consider it for an entire lifetime, and still in their final days be amazed. The Gospel is so vast in what it accomplishes . . . and yet at the same time it is so simple that a child can embrace it.

“It's like an ocean. The same ocean that has depths where men have never been (and probably never will be) also has a shoreline where toddlers can run and play in safety. So it is with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
