The Obedience of Our Redeemer

In Isaiah 53 we read of the prospective death and sufferings of our Lord Jesus Christ; it is a record of what God the Father did to His beloved Son to achieve the redemption of His elect people. The sufferings of Christ are completed voluntarily; He submitted His body and soul to God's holy wrath to redeem His people in absolute submission. The saints of God are afforded abundant mercies by His free and unlimited grace.
