David's sin with Bathsheba began as a sinful desire (breaking the 10th Commandment), moved to deceptive actions and lies (breaking the 9th Commandment), the stealing of another man's wife (breaking the 8th Commandment), committing adultery with her (breaking the 7th Commandment), and finally killing her husband—Uriah (breaking the 6th Commandment).
