Women at Jesus Tomb

The women showed a mixture of love and unbelief. The problem re the stone was the result of unbelief. A heavenly messenger vindicated Jesus, scattered his enemies, and brought comfort to those disciples. The message of comfort was followed by a task - and Jesus appeared while they obeyed. The second message was given for the apostles - the resurrection speaks of many things. Mary Magdalene felt the loss so much the angel's presence did not disturb her. She so longed for Jesus to be alive she could not bring herself to believe it till he spoke. God overlooks the failings of his people, and focuses on the grace he has given.
