Three Hours of Darkness at Calvary!

These three hours of darkness were a darkness like no other; it was this darkness that Jesus considered while He was praying in Gethsemane before His arrest. This was The Cup that He feared!
Jesus drank the full cup of the wine of the wrath of God against sinners, it was poured out without mixture into the cup of God's indignation.
We often equate darkness with the absence of God; but from the 6th to the 9th hour, God entered that darkness as both Judge and Executioner! What Jesus experienced in this darkness can only be described as the terrifying presence of God!
In these three hours, Jesus suffered eternal damnation, as only He could for sinners.
