The Ultimate Mountaintop Experience

As we celebrate the birth of our savior tonight, I want to take us to a very famous, and spectacular event that occurred in the New Testament—the account of the Transfiguration. I want us to consider this passage tonight because I think the Transfiguration can teach us something about the Incarnation. I want to think of it in terms of how the Transfiguration has implications for us even today. And prayerfully as we study those implications, and as Holy Spirit makes the application of the truths surrounding it in our lives, he will bolster our faith and transform us more and more into image of our savior—and give us great encouragement and hope as we live our lives before the face of God.
