István Borzási is the former President of the Convention of Hungarian Baptist Churches in Romania. He is currently the pastor of the Hungarian Baptist Church in Pericei, which is in the region known by some as Transylvania.

Apart from his own pastorate he has a great vision for the progress of the gospel amongst the Hungarian speaking peoples of Romania. He is an active participant in the training of men for the Ministry, is involved in gospel radio work, and also has a significant preaching schedule outside his own church. His evangelistic heart has seen him plant a number of churches, in a country that is currently an open-door for the gospel.

István is married to Márta, and they have three daughters, Johanna, Tabitha and Miriam.

An interest in István's work amongst the Hungarian Baptist Churches of Romania is maintained by the European Missionary Fellowship, and it was on a deputation tour of the U.K. that István made his second visit to Crich in September 2008.

Apart from the presentation concerning his work, he also gave us on that occasion a brief sermon in which he illustrated the some of the lessons that we can learn from three of the people involved in the account described in John's Gospel of “feeding the five thousand.”
