Unimaginable Glory or Grim Loss

If our security is based on the predictableness of this present life, or on our capacity to solve our own problems, or on the prospect of good times ahead then we will have a very insecure security. The slightest whiff of another crisis will unsettle our peace.

We need to know the joy of being sure where we stand before the revelation of God's impending judgment and His unimaginable glory. We need an abundant hope based on eternal promises and divine expectations rather than on our own devices and delusions. God will bring to pass what seems impossible to us. Isaiah 66 gives us God's final game plan for the miraculous birth of His people fit for a renewed heaven and earth - a people enabled to declare His glory to the nations.
