Called To Be Saints

A sermon on the Biblical definition of the "sainthood" that ALL true Christians are called to, from the moment we are saved -- in contrast to the counterfeit sainthood of the Roman Catholic Church, as exemplified in its "saint of darkness," the famous "St. Teresa of Calcutta" (a/k/a Mother Teresa), who clearly, unless she had a deathbed conversion to Christ that no one knows about, NEVER truly knew salvation or TRUE sainthood.

In both the Old testament and the New, the words "saint" and "holy" are in all cases translated from the same Hebrew or Greek word -- because they mean the same thing. As God's saints we have been called to KNOW God as our Father and to walk, NOT in darkness, but in the LIGHT, in fellowship with our Father, our Savior, and our Comforter. We have therefore also been called to HOLINESS -- to separation from all sin and defilements of the flesh, separated unto God for His purpose and to be used by Him.
